The freedom of press or speech inThailand

The old days, the press in Thailand was control to publicize because it was govern by dictator. It was very strict in present the news of press or speech on the point of dishonesty, corruption or against the government. And it wasn’t allowed to publicize. If the mass media was present to public, it would be close the printing office or the press would be discharge. Now, the press or speech in Thailand has more freedom in present to public because it was duty of press to present the truth to everybody knew. Example: the case of past prime minister Taksin Chinawat in avoid to paid the tax. When the newspaper, television, or the press to publicize. It made the protest and people want to get him out. But sometime the press was present the news over the truth for interesting of the news. Nowadays, the press more influence with people when the press to publicize and the people would be believe in the news absolutely without analyse. It made the celebrity have to respect the press. They are not brave to sue the press.
